Summary: Do you love being in and around water in the summertime? Do you like SUPing or have you ever wanted to try outdoor adventures all while sharing your excitement with the community? The Water Sports Intern will be in charge of supporting our Community Pop-Up Days including SUP’ing at Sweitzer and Crawford Reservoirs. The intern is in charge of checking in and out gear to community members and giving instructional support when needed. Intern may also complete hours as a camp counselor between pop-up sessions. The intern handles donations from participants and works closely with TNC’s Directors to accomplish our goal to get Delta County and Olathe youth and families outdoors.
Qualifications: Enthusiasm to be outdoors and help families get outside; high school student; has reliable transportation
Location: The Nature Connection HQ in Hotchkiss, Bill Heddles Rec Center, Sweitzer and Crawford State Parks and other Delta County activity locations
Pathways Opportunity: 1 internship available; 9 week internship from June 1st through August 15th
Paid Internship: ~$250-$350 week depending on experience and hours completed. Free outdoor gear use during internship (SUP, mountain bikes, camping equipment.)
