
Summary: If you enjoy taking pictures and videos, and being outside, this is the job for you! In this position, you will help manage the Nature Connection’s social media accounts to take and post pictures and videos to build our following and grow our audience among a diversity of user groups. Brainstorm new and unique ideas for photography and video projects while building your marketing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create photo and video content while attending summer camps and family events during the summer
- Help Nature Connection promote and communicate events and programs to our community during the summer months
- Provide Nature Connection with consistent posts that engage and grow our audiences
- Transportation to and from program locations (Delta, Cedaredge, Hotchkiss) required over summer to create content
Job Location: Varies; part of internship can be remote, but access to computer required
Pathways Opportunity: 1-2 available jobs; Applications due March 31st.
Paid Internship: $13.65-$15.00/hour, depending on experience and hours completed; June through mid-August. Free outdoor gear use available during internship (SUP, mountain bikes, camping equipment.) Potential to continue during school year. Wilderness first aid and outdoor safety training provided May 30th-June 2nd
Qualifications: Enthusiasm for creating outdoor, kid friendly photo/video content; Current high school student; transportation to program locations required
