
Scholarship for Water Safety Instructor Training
The Nature Connection offers partial scholarships to help cover the cost of a Water Safety Instructor Training at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. Once completed, the WSI course will provide students with the ability to teach swimming lessons to a variety of ages. This training typically follows a lifeguard certification.
Students who take the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course will learn to teach swimming lessons to various age groups and become eligible to apply for a job at Bill Heddles Rec Center in Delta.
The Nature Connection and the GOCO Generation Wild Grant provide an opportunity for students to apply for a scholarship to be eligible for $50 towards the training cost.
