
Scholarship for Lifeguard Training
The Nature Connection offers partial scholarships to help cover the costs for lifeguard training at Bill Heddles Recreation Center, so that students can work during the summer at Bill Heddles and the North Fork Pool with an American Red Cross Certification. Students will learn water safety, leadership, and life-saving skills during the training.
Students who take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training will learn water safety, leadership, and life-saving skills to become a fully certified lifeguard. Training also includes First Aid, CPR and AED.
The Nature Connection and the GOCO Generation Wild Grant provide an opportunity for students to apply for a scholarship to be eligible for $50 towards the training cost.
