We offer both summer and winter paid educational internships, allowing students and young adults the chance to learn organizational and management skills in outdoor recreation and a foundation on which to build their resume.

These internships require your time and commitment during the summer months. The application deadline for 2019 internships has passed, but browse below to see the kinds of  internships we offer.

Lifeguard prep classes

Students will take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training to become a fully certified lifeguard. Students will learn water safety, leadership, and life-saving skills, with First Aid, CPR and AED training. The Nature Connection and the GOCO GenWild Grant will pay 50% of training.

Water Safety Instructor classes

Students will take the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course. As they learn to teach swimming lessons, instructors will be eligible to teach the 3rd grade swimming lessons at the Bill Heddles Rec Center in Delta. Students will learn how to teach swimming lessons to various age groups. The Nature Connection and the GOCO GenWild Grant will pay 60% of training.
