Outdoor Survival Week will be a three day event for youth ages 9-15 years hosted by Delta Recreation and The Nature Connection. The camp will be held at River Bend Park in North Delta. Each participant will leave with knowledge about outdoor survival and a survival pack of their own. Thursday we will spend a day exploring our backyard National Forest with the Nature Connection. We will head up to Grand Mesa for a hike to enjoy the beautiful Fall foliage. While there, we will learn some basic orienteering skills, including how to read a map and use a compass.
