👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 $17,505 of summer camp scholarships awarded to families⁠

🏄🏽‍♀️ 1,915 community members attending a community program⁠
🚵🏽 15+ miles of trail built and/or maintained by our Wilder Bunch Trail Crew⁠

We are partnering with @grandmesanordiccouncil for a Family Fun Day at County Line on Saturday December 16th from 10-2pm. We will have our fleet of cross-country skis, boots, and poles for loan--FREE for kiddos, $10 suggested donation for adults. There will be lessons, races, obstacle course, scavenger hunt, and LOTS of WINTER FUN!! Beginners are encouraged! ❄️⛄️🎿⁠

If you are involved with Nature Connection then you likely already know Anna Robinson, but we'd like to officially introduce her as NC's new Director of Programs!! Anna first joined the NC as our AmeriCorps cross-country ski lead in the fall of 2020 and then became our Programs Manager in 2022. She comes to this new position was great perspective as an educator and logistics manager, and with deep relationships with all of our partners and teachers.⁠

When she isn't in the office or supporting a program, you can find Anna riding the trails around the Nature Connection on her mountain bike or reading with a borrowed dog she is likely dog-sitting for!

It is very bittersweet to say farewell to our Dire

It is very bittersweet to say farewell to our Director of Programs, Tori Swift, who is moving on from the Nature Connection. Since 2018, Tori has carefully developed NC's summer, school, and family programming from creating curriculum, mentoring HS interns, leading programs, creating scheduling and supporting teachers, and every big and little detail in between. We sure are going to miss Tori and her beautiful spirit in the office. Thank you, Tori, for all you done for the Nature Connection and the youth and families of Delta County! 💚💛🤎

Community Climbing Night is canceled for this Mond

Community Climbing Night is canceled for this Monday November 13 because staff will be at @kids.pasta.project supporting @grandmesanordiccouncil and you should go to! (scroll over for more details). Also cancelled on Monday November 20th for Thanksgiving. ⁠
We will see you again on the 27th! 🦃

We had so much fun helping get students outside at Cedaredge High School's Field Day last week! Students rotated through over a dozen stations including our mobile climbing wall, mountain biking along Surface Creek, and using our archery gear thanks to @westerncoloradoarchers. ⁠
