After founding many of the Nature Connection’s c After founding many of the Nature Connection’s core programs and growing its success and stability across Delta County for the last 5 years, our current Director of Operations, Priscilla Williams, is stepping away from the organization at the end of this month. While no longer with the Nature Connection, she will continue her dedicated service with the U.S. Forest Service out of Montrose. As the head director and captain of the Nature Connection, Priscilla has been a devoted advocate for getting Delta County youth outdoors, unwaveringly committed to our mission and goals. What’s more, Priscilla has been involved with the Nature Connection since its inception and has been an advocate for its dramatic growth and evolution. In its dawning days, she spent multiple winters as a Forest Service Educator and Snow Ranger growing the Skis for Kids Program. Since then, as Director of Operations, she has committed herself to fulfilling the Generation Wild GOCO Grant in all of its dimensions. Priscilla has designed new outdoor programs, engaged in county-wide project management and developed community partnerships for the organization. From the bottom up, Priscilla has breathed life and focus into this ambitious project, making the human and natural environment of Delta County, in ways both subtle and ubiquitous, a better and healthier place for all. Priscilla leaves the role after five years of commitment to developing and enriching the Nature Connection in its entirety. We appreciate all the hard work she has put into the Nature Connection and want to send her a big countywide THANK YOU, farewell and best wishes for success in her new job. She will certainly be dearly missed around the Nature Connection!

This event is part of the kids Halloween Festival on Main St. sponsored by City Delta Colorado City of Delta Recreation Department and Delta Police Department. Kids 5 and under are invited to join us from 2-3pm and kids 6 and older from 3pm-dark. Donations are welcome and support our community climbing programs
