Want to get outside more with your family but not sure how to use your gear or where to go or what to do? This is an event for new campers! We will have evening educational sessions to learn the basics of camping and how to do this by yourself with your family, including suggestions on where to go.

What you’ll learn:

  • Leave No Trace principles
  • How to set up a tent
  • How to use camping stoves
  • Bathroom options when there aren’t facilities available
  • How to build a fire
  • Local camping options: campgrounds vs dispersed campsites

What Nature Connection will provide:

  • Saturday Dinner & Sunday Breakfast We will provide the food but participants will do the cooking to learn how to cook outside with camp stoves.
